Meet Our Team
As a key contributor to our team, you will work closely with our clients at one of our treatment facilities. You will work alongside other Certified Recovery Support Professionals, consumers, and peers, and will report to the Clinical Director (or other deemed supervisor) at your respective facility. 

 

Who You Are
You are a Recovery Support Supervisor who is passionate about helping individuals suffering from substance use disorders and/or mental health illnesses. You are someone who realize that the disease of addiction doesn’t discriminate, and can therefore work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You have the ability to help those in treatment with respect and dignity, and by providing quality services. You are trust worthy, empathetic, adaptable, compassionate and a great listener. You are a problem solver and is not afraid to have difficult conversations. You have the ability to positively influence the vulnerable. You have good interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work successfully with people at all levels.  You are capable of performing and supervising work in the therapeutic care, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons within the program.

 

This individual is responsible for overseeing support services.  The Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor performs a wide variety of tasks to assist the CRS staff in assisting persons in recovery by attaining and maintaining on-going recovery.  The Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor will set an example by demonstrating the value of every individual’s recovery experience by using established interventions necessary to assist the person in recovery in meeting their recovery goals.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and develop the practices and skills of recovery specialists while working with individuals.
  • Provide regular supervision focused on the needs of the recovery specialist.
  • Promote empowerment skills through self-advocacy and stigma-busting tools
  • Advocate for effective recovery-based services
  • Facilitate mandatory treatment team meetings to discuss the client’s recovery process while in treatment including stabilization, behavior modification, MAT options, discharge and aftercare planning
  • Model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies
  • Create a safe environment for non-judgmental, constructive feedback and person growth.
  • Promote professional development and advancement.
  • Teach and utilize problem solving techniques and coping skills
  • Adhere to and monitor ethical boundaries between recovery specialist and individuals through supervision.
  • Monitor documents required for recovery specialist to complete in MyAvatar; progress, recovery service plan, objectives and goals
  • Provide CRS services as needed

Qualifications

Education/ Training:     

Must have high school diploma/G.E.D.

Certified Recovery Specialist (PCB) (acquired or meet the qualifications for certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor).

 

Experience:                     

At least 12 months of related experience

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to have clarity of vision of 20 inches or less
  • Must be able to ascend/ descend stairs
  • Must be able to push/ pull
  • Must be able to stand/ sit for extended period with reasonable breaks
  • Must be able to reach overhead and bend/ stoop
