Gaudenzia is one of the largest nonprofit providers of treatment to people with substance use and co-occurring disorders in the nation. We operate in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Who we’re looking for:
This individual’s responsibility will be to develop and coordinate housing programs, develop, and implement guidelines,
ensure program operations, and provide referral for families in transitional living programs. These services may include but
are not limited to developing new transitional living programming, insuring compliance with existing programs and applicable
regulatory agencies.
In addition, this person will develop a system of housing resources to assist other personnel by ensuring proper referral of
clients to appropriate services available and necessary to them.
Duties may include, but not be limited to, ensuring compliance with housing plans and keeping the necessary records,
maintaining responsibility for the development of new and expanded housing resources, and assisting other staff members in
the performance of varied work duties of aftercare planning as it relates to housing issues.
Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures, but this person is expected to
exercise significant initiative and independent judgment in achieving objectives.
Your responsibilities in this role may include:
• Expand resources available to families through the expansion and development of transitional living programs and housing
subsidies
• Develop a system to refer clients to appropriate housing and transitional programming when appropriate
• Establish and maintain referral relationships with federal, state and county housing providers
• Develop and strengthen agency linkages with private and municipal housing resources
• Explore opportunities and prepare applications to obtain funding to support expansion of transitional housing
• Develop a series of in-house seminars to prepare families for housing eligibility, application procedures, and compliance
with terms
• Assist staff in helping families locate the best housing options for their individual circumstances
• Research and interpret possibilities for access to public and private resources for suitable housing
• Develop systems to assist families to meet eligibility requirement for housing
• Provide case consultation to program clinicians in the development of housing aftercare plans; work closely with staff to
coordinate services related to housing
• Provide case-specific advocacy with transitional housing programs, Section 8, and other subsidized housing systems and
private landlords
• Attend selected re-entry aftercare meetings specific to housing supports
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
