Who We’re Looking For

 

The Women's Coordinator's responsibility will be to design, develop, implement, supervise, and provide specialized training and services to clients in the program.  In addition, this person may also handle an independent case load or assist other personnel in the counseling of clients/parents and children to aid them in achieving adjustments to specific problems or situations of a difficult or complex nature. Duties may also include, specialty program design, development, supervision, conducting workshop classes and seminars for clients and the community in particular specialty, providing counseling services to clients, making reports, preparing treatment plans and keeping necessary records, maintaining responsibility of the activities of one or more groups of clients and families and assisting other staff members in the performance of a variety of difficult and varied work duties such as planning therapeutic activity sessions, applying advanced treatment methods and providing counseling service to such clients.

 

Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures, but the person is expected to exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in achieving objectives

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in this role may include:

 

  1. Design, develop, implement and supervise the care, training and activities of the target population.
  2. Continue specialized training as designated by the Supervisor.
  3. Provide individual and group counseling for the target population; monitor emotional/psychological status of clients and arrange referrals to ancillary services when indicated.
  4. Develop and conduct client/family/community therapeutic/educational sessions in conjunctions with other clinical staff where applicable.
  5. Develop and implement procedures to ensure completion of clinical records and correspondence while maintaining compliance with confidentiality procedures and all applicable state/federal regulations.
  6. Develop and maintain contacts with outside agencies and consulting information resources as necessary for the continuing development and improvement of the specialty component.
  7. Monitor progress of clients and, when appropriate, maintain contact with school] and other applicable resources to ensure continuity of care.
  8. Maintain valid driver’s license. 
  9. Attend meetings/functions and represent Gaudenzia at appropriate community affairs. ­
  10. Train, supervise and evaluate specialist staff.             ­
  11. Other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and Training:  Bachelors degree in a generally recognized clinical discipline plus specialized training for specialized populations; and/or full certification as an Addictions counselor or certification in specialty area, or Masters degree in related specialty area.

 

Experience:  Two (2) years of D&A counseling, prevention, or educational experience, which included at least two years in specialty area.
