Who We’re Looking For                

This management position reporting directly to the Director of Operations or Division Director. This position has prime responsibility for operations of the facility, contractual compliance, data collection (compilation and retrieval), data analysis and evaluation, the design and initiation of all operations forms.  This position is responsible for the management of daily client census, movement, count, and accountability controls.  Has controlling responsibility for the development and management of program support functions such as counts, daily reporting, intakes, urinalysis, etc.  Work also involves supervision of residential aide schedules and reporting requirements. This is full performance work providing direct supervision of Shift Supervisors, full-time and part-time employees involved with daily contract administration, facility security, and systems monitoring.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in this role may include

  • Supervision and training of 1st and 3rd Shift Supervisors and Residential Aides regarding the performance of their duties including work schedules ie. Time and attendance, disciplinary process, (weekly supervisions- new employees, etc.)
  • Responsible for the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, supervision, and evaluation of those direct reports.
  • Responsible for all after-hours Residential Aide call-offs and overtime hours in conjunction with the Operations Director (rotation bi-monthly)
  • Supervise resident census, counts, and movement in and out of the facility and completion of daily movement and weekly status reports, including coverage on units during staff meals/breaks.
  • Maintain an accurate population count by reviewing all documentation on units/floors;
  • Supervise the transportation of residents to appointments;
  • Coordination of all reception & discharge activities, ie. PRAT
  • Assist Security with all unit, room, grounds, and body searches on an as-needed basis;
  • Conduct New Employee Orientation in conjunction with Directors.
  • Participate with On-call duty hours for emergencies and unusual events (may be delegated to other management-level staff), and;
  • Communication with the PA DOC and PABPP and reporting daily and as needed
  • Completes all reports to PA DOC, PABPP, and DRC as required and reviews all reports submitted by direct reports for accuracy.
  • Recommends policies and procedures; ensures effective implementation and adherence.
  • Represents the facility on department committees (Safety, CQI, etc.).
  • Responsible for other case recording included but not limited to breathalyzer records and urine drug screening documents, collection, storage of urinalysis chain of custody form in accordance with policy.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Qualifications for This Role:  

 

EDUCATION /TRAINING: Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in program management and Quality Assurance.  Strong oral and written communication skills are required for this position.  Proficiency in Math, English and strong computer skills in the following programs: Microsoft Windows-XP Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Securmanage, AVATAR Word, Excel, Outlook and Outlook Express).

 

EXPERIENCE:Note: Experience must be clinical in a health or human service agency which includes one year of working with the chemically dependent (DDAP/DOC Regulations), plus one year of supervisory experience.
